L'Abre D'Or le foundry .Since ever, we only cooperate with specialized dealers for the quality decoration articles. Our statues are made using the technologies of “lost wax” or “with sand”in the best tradition of the makers of bronze in our region. After casting and after getting rid of the wire edges of a piece, our statues are scoured and polished before being entirely chased in order to give to each detail the precision and the outlook wished by the sculptor. The exactitude of the original piece is our constant care. Our patina is realized using the old methods which are carefully kept and transmitted from one generation to the other one. Museums and antique dealers regularly ask us to give back its old polished up outside at a damaged patina. On the contrary, the editions of pieces of to-day artists are treated in cooperation with these ones. We often give free rein to our imagination to propose them a new patina and new finishing. Lost-wax casting , sometimes called by the French name of cire perdue or the Latin cera perduta, is the process by which a bronze or brass is cast from an artist's sculpture; in industrial uses, the modern process is called investment casting.
